Opening of the largest logistic centre in the region

One of the biggest investment projects implemented by Grupa Meblowa Szynaka has just been completed in Iława – expansion of the Szynaka Logistic Centre in Iława. This project, which constitutes part of the company’s dynamic development strategy, resulted in the construction of the largest facility of its kind in northern Poland and central Europe.

The project allowed us to create the largest and most modern logistic centre with the total floor area of over 8 ha, which corresponds to 10 football fields. The construction of the new hall with floor area of over 15,000 m2 increased the total storage area of the logistic centre to nearly 60,000 m2. The modern logistic complex features in total 12 storage halls with 9,000 running metres of high-storage racks (mainly 5- and 6-storey ones), in total nearly 19,000 pallet bays facilitating efficient and precise storage and access to goods. Over 50 modern loading ramps allow us to quickly load and offload over 100 vehicles per day. The completed investment project will contribute to creating at least 50 additional jobs for the local residents. This means that the total employment figures for the Szynaka Logistic Centre will grow to nearly 400 people, and in the whole Grupa Meblowa Szynaka to nearly 3,500 members of staff.
