A great friend of Poland, Poles and the Szynaka Meble Group has passed away Dieter Hilpert founder of the German Bega Group
Grievingly and with truly great regret we inform you that Dieter Hilpert passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of almost 79. Dieter Hilpert was a great man, the founder of furniture sales companies, which he always personally emphasized: he not only traded in furniture, but also designed the furniture, created and realized the vision of fast logistics “from manufacturer to customer” – including taking care of a perfectly functioning consumer service.
Dieter Hilpert and the powerful BEGA GROUP, which he founded, have loomed large in the European furniture market over the past 20-30 years. Dieter Hilpert was a great friend of Poland and Poles; gave expression to this many times (…).
In the region of Warmia and Masuria he cooperated with many companies, he was know in the circles of furniture makers, but also in central and regional authorities. He was well known in the authorities of our region, and took joint initiatives. For his contribution to the development of economic cooperation in Poland, he was honored with many medals for the friendship he showed, and he also received the Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland from the President of the Republic of Poland.
Over the past 10 years Dieter Hilpert, his Bega Group has become firmly bound up in cooperation with the Szynaka Group. Together they have achieved unprecedented success on the European market, but not only. Furniture with the “Szynaka” logo from factories in Lubawa (Szynaka-Meble and PPUHiE Szynaka), from Nowe Miasto Lubawskie (Interline and Fabryka Mebli), from Ilawa (Living), from Wolsztyn (WFM) and Lidzbark (Classic Sofa) found and are finding their way through the largest retail chains to consumers mainly on the European market.
- On the one hand, Dieter Hillpert; his son Thorsten, who took the helm at the Bega Group as the next generation
- On the other hand, Jan Szynaka; furthermore, Presidents, Directors and, above all, Crews on many hundreds of work positions in the Szynaka Furniture Group.
The Hilpert and Szynaka families, through trust and mutual reliability, were related not only by business activities, but by really close and warm family relations. Dieter Hilpert was a great person, a big player in the furniture world, but above all a warm and kind man who respected all people, showed interest in everyone.
Dieter Hilpert showed not only professionalism in difficult situations, but empathy in the first place. He knew what friendship meant, what a word once given meant. Glad that we met such a good man on our way. We will miss him greatly.
