Newly built office-production-warehouse complex at MM Szynaka Interline in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie opened
11 December 2019 is another very important date in the history of the development of Grupa Meblowa Szynaka. On that day at 12:30 PM the newly built office/production/warehouse complex, MM Szynaka Interline in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, was opened. The guest of honour at the ceremony was President Andrzej Duda and his wife. In addition, the opening ceremony was attended by almost 600 guests – including representatives of national, provincial and local authorities, partners, friends and employees of Grupa Meblowa Szynaka from all over the world.
MM Szynaka Interline is a leader in the solid wood furniture manufacturing sector. Extensive experience in the industry, consistently implemented development strategy and the company’s human capital allow for an optimistic outlook on the success of the investment worth over PLN 36 million. Thanks to the application of modern technological solutions, a reengineering of the production process will be carried out in the company, as a result of which production processes will be optimised, allowing the Polish and global furniture market to be offered the highest quality furniture. The investment is very important not only for the development of MM Szynaka Interline, Grupa Meblowa Szynaka, Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, but above all, it is a significant event for the development of the region and the country. The investment project was carried out in the Warmia-Mazury Special Economic Zone.
The ceremonial part of the meeting began with the guests being welcomed by the President of MM Szynaka Interline, Jan Borowski, who presented a film showing the stages of the investment project. Then the floor was taken by Alina and Jan Szynaka, who thanked the contractors for their contribution and professionalism put into the construction of the new complex and presented them with statuettes and congratulation letters. Then, the Voivode of Warmia and Mazury, Artur Chojecki, initiated his presence with a short speech, congratulations and warm words of appreciation addressed to the President.
The employees of the Szynaka Furniture Group received a distinction on stage as a token of appreciation for the work done in arranging and furnishing the Polish Meeting Hall, in the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
At 14:30 it was time to welcome the guest of honour, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. In his speech, the President emphasised that he is proud when he looks at Polish furniture factories, which develop not only in the country, but also undertake expansion abroad. The President stressed that for the last 30 years “in free Poland, one can boldly implement the greatest economic visions, one can develop, when one can operate in the free market”, but it is necessary to have “talent, persistence, luck and skills”, which are not lacking in entrepreneurs from the furniture industry.
The ceremonial character of the event was enhanced by a performance from the Youth Brass Band and children from the Primary and Music School Complex in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, supported by the Szynaka Furniture Group.
At 2:30 PM, it was time to welcome the honorary guest of the ceremony, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. In his speech, the President emphasized that he feels proud when he sees Polish furniture factories thriving not only domestically but also expanding internationally The President stressed that for the last 30 years “in free Poland, one can boldly implement the greatest economic visions, one can develop, when one can operate in the free market”, but it is necessary to have “talent, persistence, luck and skills”, which are not lacking in entrepreneurs from the furniture industry.
Szynaka Furniture Group’s Plants as a Model for Others
– I am proud, when I look at the factories of Grupa Meblowa Szynaka, here, but also others scattered all over Poland, when you hear about the investment completed in Lidzbark Welski and a huge investment that will be completed in Belarus – he said. “It’s not just sending furniture around the world to sell it in different markets, but also spreading production to different countries”, President Andrzej Duda pointed out during the speech.
The culmination of the meeting was the ceremonial unveiling by the President of the Republic of Poland of a commemorative plaque, placed on a restored woodworking bench, on which 60 years ago the founder of Grupa Meblowa Szynaka, Jan Szynaka Senior, worked.
The new complex was consecrated by His Eminence the Bishop of Toruń Diocese, Andrzej Suski.
At the end of the ceremony, President Andrzej Duda became acquainted with the exhibition presenting the most important events in the history of Grupa Meblowa Szynaka and met with the representatives of companies and institutions supported by Szynaka Meble as part of its corporate social responsibility.
To commemorate the meeting, President Andrzej Duda gave President Jan Szynaka a special gift – the flag of the Republic of Poland – in gratitude for the cooperation so far, at the special time of the National Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence of the Republic of Poland.
The invited guests and company employees received commemorative coins marking this important date in the history of the Szynaka Furniture Group—the opening of the office, production, and warehouse complex at MM Szynaka Interline—coinciding with the eve of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of independence for the Lubawa and Nowe Miasto regions, which took place on January 19, 1920.
The owners, Alina and Jan Szynaka, would like to thank all the guests for coming in such large numbers. The scale of the ceremony and the presence of the President and representatives of the highest state, provincial and local government authorities prove just how important the furniture manufacturer and business partner, Grupa Meblowa Szynaka, really is on the domestic and world market.
